Regenerate Internship

Making disciples by teaching conversational English, leading English clubs and camps, serving as ESL teacher and equipping Ukrainian students to teach English as a second language by native speaking partners.

We are looking for

fun, adventurous, college students and young adults ages 18-25 who love God and follow Jesus to travel to Ukraine the summer of 2021 and work alongside an international team of young adults in impacting the next generation of leaders in Ukraine.

Month Regenerate Internship Program
July 10 - Aug 10, 2021

Tentative schedule:
• Team building and adjustment
• Inter-Cultural Intelligence training
• Hands-on ministries alongside several local churches
• 10-days English camp at Camp “Karabin"
• Disciple Making Movement Training, level 1
• Sightseeing

COST: 2,500$ for a month
This includes all in-country expenses + round trip airfare

We are specifically looking for English speaking participants who will be able to assist in one of our most popular outreach events — English Camps.

Not only will this opportunity allow you to serve others in a cross-cultural setting but you will gain experience in community transformation, disciple-making movement strategies, leadership development, and personal growth.

THE STORY

2015 — 8 American students come to Ukraine joining 8 Ukrainian students to form two teams composed of 4 Ukrainians and 4 Americans each. We were able to serve alongside several local churches, teach English through camps and clubs and show the love of Christ to over 1000 people.

2016 — 7 out of 8 came back and we also had 4 new interns participate in the Regenerate Program.

2017 — our primary focus was on English camp. 112 kids from all over Ukraine, mostly from non- Christian homes, participated in our 10 day English camp. Through the help of 30 young Christian leaders we were able to invest in the lives of these children and share the good news of Jesus with them.

2018 — 6 interns and US church group coming to serve alongside Ukrainian churches.

2019 — 8 American students come to Ukraine joining 8 Ukrainian students. During 5 years in operation, 74 people from US were involved in the Internship, we served 15+ local churches and shared the Gospel with over 3,000+ people. Follow discipleship work is being down is being with 120+ people via Discovery Bible Study Groups, mission projects of the local churches and one to one discipleship.

We spent all the time together, learning how to be a team, how to communicate when you can't say things because of language barrier and so on. When I traveled to Ukraine with Regenerate for the first time in 2015, I had no idea that God was waiting for me there in such a big way. It didn’t take long before my time there evolved into authentic relationships, and I knew I had to go back. I led a Regenerate team in 2016 this past June, and am currently working on the next few years of trip planning so that God’s bridge between America and Ukraine can continue to be built through us. We love what we do, and we do what we love, and God has bountifully honored that!

I thank God I met lots of people during the internship. We had an opportunity to serve various churches and people together in different cities of Ukraine. That was a very useful time for me because we were spending a lot of time studying the Bible and communicating. During the internship I have become more responsible since I had specific duties. Also we read a book called “The Starfish and the Spider” and it changed the way I saw different ways of working with people. Through the internship God gave me new friends who I still have a good relationship with. Currently I work out with some teens finding searching for People of Peace. Two boys out of ten I train read the Bible and learn how to pray and put Scripture into practice.

It’s hard to call something “life changing” and truly mean it; but believe me when I say the Regenerate internship is LIFE CHANGING. To this day I thank God for allowing me to serve alongside His people in the way that we did. From cultural training, to organizing festivals, and having teachable moments with students at camp Karabin... God has His hand in all of it. FOUR MAIN PHASES OF INTERNSHIP

Intercultural Intelligence Training
Helping students to make sense of their own worldview and culture. How to work with and share Gospel with people from different cultural background.
Local church work
Coming alongside and teaching practical skills on how to engage with community through sports, use experiential learning, organize outreach events, and develop leadership skills.
10 day English Camp
Reaching around 80 kids from different parts of the country and teaching them conversational English along with sharing the Gospel with them.
Disciple Making Training
Where we study New Testament mission, discipleship approach Jesus used, essential principles of what Church is and how we are to make disciples today.
